DID YOU KNOW?

- A COC (Certificate of compliance) is necessary for your household insurance, sale of property and bond registration.

- A COC is a legal requirement on all gas installations as governed by law under the Health and Safety act 1993 Regulation 17(3) of the pressure equipment regulations 2009.

All LP Gas installations have regulations by which such laws as described in the South African National Standards (SANS 10087) must strictly be adhered.
It is a legal requirement that all LP Gas appliances confer to the SANS 1539 standard.
It is therefore a legal requirement that a registered LP Gas installer is used for Domestic, Commercial and Industrial LP Gas installations.

THE INSTALLER

An LP Gas installer is registered with the LPGAS Safety Association as well as with the Department of Labour and is a qualified practitioner by the South African Qualifications and Certification Committee (SAQCC).

HOW DO YOU IDENTIFY AN INSTALLER?

All of our practitioners are issued with a SAQCC practitioner’s card. On the front of the card is the practitioner’s identity photograph. The reverse side of the card includes a list of qualifications and the logo of the Department of Labour.
